What is an Aroha elf?
...essentially the Aroha elf tradition is an alternative to the Elf on the Shelf idea but DOESN’T promote ‘naughty’ behaviour and crazy antics (which to be fair we have ENOUGH of around our house already) and places the emphasis on positive, character-building activities for kids. Not that I’m an elf on the shelf hater 😝 BUT I love the idea of teaching love, kindness and gratitude with a hope to raise the next generation of kids to move away from the entitlement attitude which is increasingly commonplace. Aroha elves come up with ideas to ‘do good’ and ‘show love and kindness’ to others throughout the festive season ...ideas like: bake cookies for your teachers, give toys to charity, buy a Christmas gift for a child in need, give homegrown veggies to the neighbours, make Christmas cards for family etc.
Ps. Another bonus is that you don’t HAVE to do something EVERYDAY because lord knows December is busy enough without attending to an elf each and every day 😉❤️🎄

In the lead up to Christmas I will have a some premade ready to ship Deluxe Aroha Elves to select from...these will be listed in the drop down menu along with all custom order options.
If you order a girl and boy elf I will make a 'co-ordinated set' unless asked not to.
For any special requests on elf colour skin or hair colour please add to the notes section at checkout along with your preferred colour scheme. Options are as follows:
- ELF SKIN COLOUR: Fair, Tan or Dark
- ELF HAIR COLOUR: Ivory, Grey, Red, Black, Brown, Pink
- ELF COLOUR SCHEME: Traditional (reds, greens, golds etc) Bright (aqua, pinks, purples etc) Earthy (greys, darker greens, muted tones etc)
Please note: If no notes are made I will make and send a 'surprise' elf that I choose
For all 'Custom Order' options turnaround time is my standard 4-6 weeks (if you need yours sooner please enquire as I can often accommodate). If you order AFTER October 14th please be aware that your elf may not arrive before December 1st if you are wanting to create an 'elf tradition' - please email or message me to enquire as to whether your order will be ready by December 1st or Christmas Day.
